Do not be negative!

If one day, something good and something not so good happened to you, which of the two do you think you would tell others more about?

Research says that 80% of our everyday conversations are about dissatisfaction: what bothers us, what we don't like, frustrations, some negative event that happened recently etc...

So what we're really doing is daily entertaining negative emotions in our body and mind. Because when we recount a negative experience, our body relives those emotions, over and over again, and that energy becomes ingrained in your subconscious.

And then, surprise surprise, there's the subtle negative programming and wrong mindsets...                                                                                                                                      Do you have the wrong mindset?

If you channel your thoughts and energy on a negative event, even if it is part of the past - the emotions you relive can influence you in the present. Because when you continue to invest energy in that event and recount it over and over again, it's like instead of putting out a fire - you're keeping it going.

And think about how that can hold you back in many ways - financially, spiritually, physically, mentally or emotionally.

In fact, for many, it's a pleasure to feed on it. There are people who like to victimize themselves and attract pity, and they get caught up in a vicious circle.

Be a little narcissistic!                                                                                       Often the fear of talking about the good things too comes from childhood, when we may have been told that if we do that, we are bragging and it automatically makes us look narcissistic or selfish... Or if we talk about something we've achieved, something bad will immediately happen. What a superstition, right?

When, in fact, being aware of the successes in our lives and sharing them with others (mind you, we're not speaking from an exaggerated point of view here) can give us confidence.

That's why repeating success, an exercise you'll discover in another post, has this ability to quickly change your mood. And not only that!

An important part of the exercise is to congratulate yourself! Yes, yourself!
Because the "self-praise doesn't smell good" mental program we all have ingrained in us, often stops us from even being aware and TELLING ourselves, ourselves that we are wonderful.

Just as we manage to encourage those around us, we owe it to ourselves to encourage ourselves. And you can do that through coaching exercises and mindset change. If you want to learn the exercises, you can also read the following posts.

Summary:

''I want to congratulate myself on the wonderful person I have become, on all my achievements, on every award and certificate I have received, on my talent, intelligence and wit. I am one hell of a man. I will continue to grow and prosper in new ways. This is the year that is going to make everything happen for me!''
